The DJ\, producer\, and record label head has carved out a fine reputation for purveying club-ready sonics with roots firmly planted in the authentic club sounds of the UK and US.\nThe country’s electronic music scene has been bubbling away for a good many years\, too\, but has more traditionally been associated with fast-paced sonics shifting through Goa trance\, psytrance\, and – more recently – the darker shades of techno and tech-house. Rahimtula\, then\, can be considered something of a pioneer: a fully committed artist powering against the grain to present his distinct musical vision\, from India to the world.\nHaving lived in cities including New York\, Paris\, and Boston\, Hamza was exposed to some of the pinnacle underground dance players during his time spent overseas. Danny Tenaglia\, Terry Francis\, Dave Mothersole\, and DJ Heather are among those who helped inspire his onward journey\, igniting within him a fiercely burning flame fuelled by the deepest funk-flecked and tribal-leaning dance sounds. Coupled with this\, his long-standing fascination with indigenous global rhythms have come to exemplify his sound\, and the Wind Horse label he runs has firmly established itself as a benchmark supplier of fusion dance grooves. The Kentucky-born and Los Angeles-based artist\, DJ\, producer\, remixer\, multi- instrumentalist\, and founder of Openers carefully fuses textures and styles into an unabridged\, unfiltered\, and undeniable sonic trip on his aptly titled second full-length\, Oddyssey [Openers/RCA Records]. As such\, he imparts a piece of himself on every moment — from the production and composition to the vocals and performance. \n \n“The goal is for the music to feel pure\,” he affirms. “It’s not like I’m cutting corners. Above resounding piano\, Amtrac’s upbeat and uplifting production builds towards a hummable hook awash in a rush of fluttering neon synths and a driving beat. He croons\, “I said every single lesson is stuck on loop\, read between the lines.” \n \n“There’s a lot of trial-and-error tinkering to find the magic moment\,” he says. “That launches the path of a song. Singh from Tokyo Japan.\nIn 2010\, the he started the project when one day\, he suddenly decided to make a track. His music is gaining a lot of attention/ support from international top artists and DJs such as Carl Cox\, Adam Beyer\, Christian Smith\, Monika Kruse\, Pan-Pot\, Umek\, Hernan Cattaneo and Deadmau5\, just to name a few. His release “Repeat” from Octopus Recordings entered the Beatport Techno Top 10\, and most recently\, he created a hit track named “Phoenix” which climbed up to No. 3 in the Top 100 Beatport Techno Chart\, being supported and played by many artists around the globe.\nHis DJ mixes have also been constantly featured on well known podcasts such as Tronic Radio Show\, Octopus Recordings Podcast\, Stereo Podcast\, Alleanza Radio Show and many more.\nSince the whole world was in lockdown due to the pandemic in 2020\, he remained active with few very special live streams. For the first time a techno act performed at the Hill of the Buddha in Hokkaido\, a set that was produced by the team named High in Japan and supported and streamed by Mixmag global. In addition\, he had been part of the Tronic 25th Anniversary Virtual Stream with Beatport and Vicious Magazine`s En Casa con Live Stream.\nDrunken Kong has always been active in the Japanese techno scene\, playing regularly at major festivals such as Ultra Japan and in clubs such as WOMB\, Ageha\, Unit\, Vent\, Contact and Vision Tokyo. He has also started his own resident party “INTENTION” at WOMB\, inviting artists such as Christian Smith\, Wehbba\, Kaiserdisco\, Uto Karem\, Nathan Barato\, Arjun Vagale and Jewel-Kid to Tokyo while also expanding his musical influence to other regions of Asia.\nDrunken Kong has also been successfully touring around the world\, playing in Europe\, North and South America\, Australia\, Asia\, and the Middle East. He has also played in major venues such as Barraca of Valencia\, Sisyphos in Berlin and Egg London. In 2019\, Drunken Kong also had their residency at Eden Ibiza. Drunken Kong has also played for Tronic vs. Terminal M showcase\, during ADE(Amsterdam Dance Event) and Tronic Showcase during Sonar Offweek.\nDrunken Kong is constantly attracting new fans with his unique sound and groove.
