DESCRIPTION:March 20th\, 2024 \nCentered Wednesdays presents\, \nFREQISH\nBIO: \nMusic is a spiritual language; it’s how the soul uses vibrations to communicate with the outside world. Freqish believes dance music should be no different. By getting instrumentalists of all walks involved in his creative process\, he captures the raw energy of a live band in an electronic sound across all genres that’s as real as it gets.\nWith 20+ years as a DJ/Producer\, studio engineer\, and label owner Brandon Lee began the Freqish project in early 2020. His first release\n“Let’s Get High” on Claude Vonstroke’s Dirtybird Records hit #1 in the Beatport Deep House charts and #80 in the main top 100. His next releases followed suit and found homes on key labels like Gettoblaster’s We Jack\, DJ Dan’s InStereo Recordings\, Ravesta Records\, iconic NY labels Nervous Records\, King Street Sounds\, their sublabel Street King\, as well as Doc Brown’s Unlearn: Records and Vanilla Ace’s Wyldcard Records.\nFreqish has more signings to be announced in 2024 while ushering in his newest record label “Old World Order Records”.\nIn addition to the aformentioned artists\, Freqish songs have been played by the likes of Bad Boy Bill\, DJ Dan\, Richard Vission\, Claude Vonstroke\, VNSSA\, Claptone\, Shiba San\, Robosonic\, Codes\, Martin Garrix\, Swanky Tunes\, Gorgon City\, Hard Rock Sofa\, DJ Craze\, Gettoblaster\, DJ Heather\, Thievery Corporation\, Sebb Junior\, Casmalia Speaker Honey\, AC Slater\, Jack LNDN\, MING\, Victoria Rawlins\, Doc Brown Sam Young\, Kevin Knapp\, Keith Mackenzie\, ONDAMIKE\, and Danny Howard via BBC Radio 1 and a multitude of online and terrestrial radio stations.\nIt’s not uncommon for Freqish to dream about a track and get up in the middle of the night to lay down the groundwork in his studio. As far as he’s concerned though the song isn’t final until more artists are in the mix. He sees his approach not only as a way to bring new sounds genres in which samples of samples have become the norm\, but as an avenue to help build the careers of a growing community of musicians.\nOne thing is for sure: The name Freqish merits a mention in any list of artists breathing new life into dance music.
