BIO:

Drunken Kong is the project of D. Singh from Tokyo Japan.

In 2010, the he started the project when one day, he suddenly decided to make a track. Since then, he has released two albums on Christian Smith’s label Tronic, The Signs Within (2017) and Where We Start (2020) as well as numerous EPs and singles on labels such as Octopus Recordings, Stil Vor Talent and Terminal M while remaining active with domestic label such as Session WOMB. All 7 tracks of their EPs in early 2017 on Tronic and Terminal M have entered Beatport Top 100 Techno chart at the same time, which has made an impact on the Asian and global techno scene.

Since then, Drunken Kong`s music has been constantly entering top charts. His music is gaining a lot of attention/ support from international top artists and DJs such as Carl Cox, Adam Beyer, Christian Smith, Monika Kruse, Pan-Pot, Umek, Hernan Cattaneo and Deadmau5, just to name a few. His release “Repeat” from Octopus Recordings entered the Beatport Techno Top 10, and most recently, he created a hit track named “Phoenix” which climbed up to No. 3 in the Top 100 Beatport Techno Chart, being supported and played by many artists around the globe.

His DJ mixes have also been constantly featured on well known podcasts such as Tronic Radio Show, Octopus Recordings Podcast, Stereo Podcast, Alleanza Radio Show and many more.

Since the whole world was in lockdown due to the pandemic in 2020, he remained active with few very special live streams. For the first time a techno act performed at the Hill of the Buddha in Hokkaido, a set that was produced by the team named High in Japan and supported and streamed by Mixmag global. In addition, he had been part of the Tronic 25th Anniversary Virtual Stream with Beatport and Vicious Magazine`s En Casa con Live Stream.

Drunken Kong has always been active in the Japanese techno scene, playing regularly at major festivals such as Ultra Japan and in clubs such as WOMB, Ageha, Unit, Vent, Contact and Vision Tokyo. He has also started his own resident party “INTENTION” at WOMB, inviting artists such as Christian Smith, Wehbba, Kaiserdisco, Uto Karem, Nathan Barato, Arjun Vagale and Jewel-Kid to Tokyo while also expanding his musical influence to other regions of Asia.

Drunken Kong has also been successfully touring around the world, playing in Europe, North and South America, Australia, Asia, and the Middle East. He has also played in major venues such as Barraca of Valencia, Sisyphos in Berlin and Egg London. In 2019, Drunken Kong also had their residency at Eden Ibiza. Drunken Kong has also played for Tronic vs. Terminal M showcase, during ADE(Amsterdam Dance Event) and Tronic Showcase during Sonar Offweek.

Drunken Kong is constantly attracting new fans with his unique sound and groove. With his powerful DJ style and charisma, he is able to constantly amuse the audience while expanding his ideas and skills to the next level.

This will be Drunken Kong’s debut Honolulu performance.
